Toyota Prius Concept Bike Lets You Shift Gears by Thinking!

Toyota Prius Concept Bike Lets You Shift Gears by Thinking!

Toyota Prius – Control Shift Gears with Mind

This time the technological marvel of the postmodern age is really something mesmerizing and startlingly magical! Possibly, you may not believe it, but it’s true that now you need not be shifting the gears of your race bike by hands: just think and see it done! However, for controlling the gears by mind, you will have to wear a helmet that is again an advantage as you will be fulfilling a legal duty and ensuring your personal safety on the road. As there is no need of manual activity for changing the gears, the gear shifts are missing on the handle bar. The bike is simply known as “Prius X Parlee” with the abbreviated form of “PXP”.

The specially designed helmet of Toyota prius will serve as a medium of coordination between the gear control and your mind. It is an EEG-powered head piece that receives the signals from your brain, concerning what you are thinking, and delivers them to the electronic system of gears for the generation of appropriate response. In this way, you can save a lot of manual labor and get immense pleasure while riding the bike. The electrodes fitted with the headset detect the electrical activity in your mind and measure the intensity of brain waves produced therein.

The project has been launched by Japanese multinational automaker, Toyota, and other collaborators, viz. Parlee Cycles, Deeplocal and Saatchi & Saatchi LA. The “Parlee Cycles” has earned a great name and fame for the production of highly efficient race bikes. The experts at the firm always emerge with something innovative and fascinating.

The idea for the manufacturing of this bike has been taken from Toyota Prius that is a full hybrid electronic hatchback and is among the cleanest vehicles sold in the US. After the exhaustive work of many years, the product has reached its successful completion and has been put to practical application.

Even more startling thing is that you can view the shifting of gears on the digital panel placed just before your eyes on the handlebar. As soon as the gear is shifted down or up, the corresponding value appears on the screen. However, the rate of heart beat and the speed of your race bike can also be noticed at any particular moment. There is also a special dock for the smartphone that, along with the helmet, has been contributed by Deeplocal.

Some of you might be curious about knowing the size and weight of the apparatus that you will have to carry while driving the bike. In this regard, there is nothing to worry about at all,as the only two things that you need to wear is the EEG-powered helmet and a small-sized backpack and nothing else to bear the load of.

Being a sports bike, Toyota prius is also very light in weight and easy to drive. The innovative and stylish design makes it even more appealing and fanciful. Moreover, there are also plans for bringing further integration in it, particularly by implementing GPS (Global Positioning System) that will enable the rider record data at specific moments. It will also be possible to preprogram the bike for shifting gears automatically.

To sum up, the new technological marvel, in the form of fantastic racing Toyota prius bike, has opened up new horizons for the progress in the field of science and technology. Though the invention might have made you spell-bound, “the best is yet to be” and you need to be prepared for that end.
